In November 2010, the Foundation dedicated the Multi-Disciplinary Learning Centre in the Elrazi Elementary School in Tamra, in the presence of Mr. Aadel Abo Elhega, the Mayor of Tamra, and the Chairman and Trustees of the Clore Israel Foundation.
The Ministry of Education approved matching funds for physical renovation of the facility to house the centre, so that the infrastructure and construction sections of the project were all funded by the Ministry of Education, whereas the foundation provided for planning, design, furniture and equipment.
This is now a beautiful facility, in which Maths, English and Arabic are already being taught, harnessing state-of–the-art technological equipment for improved pedagogical effectiveness. Much thought has gone into the design and the equipment, a resource centre for teachers has been incorporated, and there are a number of custom made units, designed specially by the architect. Teachers received training on using the interactive whiteboard. The clever use of space allows for two groups to study with only a partition between them, and without disturbing each other.
